WA Family First

Ian is what people call a good bloke. Having come from Africa over 25 years ago he knows what it is like to defend your country and is someone who believes that Australia is one of the best countries to live in. Ian says "We must continue to work towards keeping it that way to provide a hope and a future for the next generations".
Ian has been married for over 35 years and has two great kids and three grandchildren who are "the best" he says! Ian works in the mining community in the North West.

While working North of Perth most of the time, he also has a home based in the South West. He and his wife enjoy the time out he gets when home to really relax and play a bit of golf. Ian says that the fly in / fly out working model is not the best situation for young married couples and rosters really need to be more favourable towards family life. It's better for young families to move into the area wherever possible and companies should try and accommodate that. As a more mature “tradie” he is usually called upon by the younger guys when they need that father figure to talk to – a role he enjoys.
Governments need to address the growing concern in the community when it comes to safety for those who are vunerable. Our children, young adults and our aging population need to be protected. Having been involved in a family small business this is an area that needs a strong voice and a champion in Government.

He supports FAMILY FIRST and became a member because of their common sense approach to legislation that provides work life balance, and are the Party that will stand up for struggling families.
