Andrew encourages children and teenagers, the leaders of the new day, to know the purpose of their life, set priorities and goals and achieve their best. He is keen for them to believe that each individual can have a significant and positive influence and impact on those around them; in their family, in their peer group, in their school, in the community and on their nation. It is with this same optimism and hope for a bright future for our nation that Andrew has nominated as a candidate for Brand.

While Andrew had a few years working on wheatbelt farms, his career has been developed in Education. After graduating from Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities, he has taught in many country, regional and metropolitan schools and worked in three District Education Offices. After spending over a decade specializing in Mathematics education and working to assist teachers in this area, he now has turned his focus to Educational leadership. He is currently working with a national association to support and strengthen several schools.
In his spare time, Andrew likes to grab a coffee and read the paper or go for a sail. He is also known to still duck off to the wheatbelt to be a farmer for the weekend!
